The Challenge

Core Telecom are an indepdent telecommunications network who supply telecoms services to organisations all over the UK. They also operate a number of niche online brands that specialise in supplying services to small businesses – the leading one being 08Direct.

Over a number of years the online visibility of all their websites had reduced and therefore the number of enquiries they were generating online had declined. Previously the online presence had been a key source of new business.

Core Telecom wanted a complete refresh of their websites to bring them in line with their current services and to immediately restart their pay-per-click advertising initiatives. Moving forward they also wanted to begin an SEO campaign to re-build organic visitor numbers.

The Solution

Tall Marketing identified that both the Core Telecom and 08Direct websites we in need of a refresh. Not only did the the previous websites not represent all the services the company could offer, they had a outdated design.

In the short term pay per click would be their biggest source of website visits, so it was vital that the websites began generating enquiries straight away. A Google Ads budget was agreed with focus going towards the 08Direct brands in order to build new business from start ups and SMEs.

As part of the new website builds we began incorporating a fresh content strategy. This ensured the websites were ready to build organic search engine rankings from the moment they launched, alongside protecting current ranking positions.

The Results

Working alongside their in house IT team the new websites launched within 12 weeks of the project start. In addition to website content we also consulted on a smooth online order process which needed to communicate with their internal IVR.

Upon the launch of the Google Ad PPC campaign orders began to roll in and we worked closely with their sales team to accurate track performance. This also include working in conjunction with them to run special offers and optimise their pricing to further boost conversion rates.
