The Challenge
As a long established independent book printers, Print2Demand were the chosen partner for a host of long term customers and had always appeared high in search engines for relevant keywords. However, due to the changing landscape of search engine marketing and the latest algorithm updates, their rankings had taken a hit which had impacted on the flow of new customers places enquiries.
Working with web-to-print provider Flex4OPS they had developed an innovative eCommerce website. The complex nature of book printing means that order specifications can be daunting, however the new online ordering meant customers could build and place custom book orders online – something that was new the market.
So the new website provided a good platform but in order for potential customers to find it they needed a strategy to increase their visibility.

The Solution
Tall Marketing were employed to create a new SEO strategy that would ensure the Print2Demand brand could once again compete for high search engine rankings.
We performed keyword research to identify both high volume relevant keywords (search terms), and those that were less competitive. This included researching search numbers around different types of book products such as children’s books and cookbooks, along with different book style products such as catalogues and business reports that Print2Demand could fulfill using the same systems.
The target keywords we identified would form the base of a new SEO and content strategy for the website. The Print2Demand domain had good authority levels thanks to a long history we knew that there was a strong potential to show improved ranking results in a relatively short time frame.

The Results
After working on the website for over a year, the organic visibility continues to increase. This includes high ranking positions for the most competitive keywords, as well as growing the overall visibility by introducing rankings the website didn’t previously hold. After working through a process of auditing a large number of poor quality blog posts, where the amount of content on the website reduced, we then introduced a new content strategy to ensure only high quality and useful content was published.
The campaign has moved onto a new stage where by working alongside Flex4, we have worked on a comprehensive migration to an updated website. This includes styling improvements alongside a different structure to the product ordering pages – making it clearer for users to build complex book printing orders, view instant quotes and understand exactly what they’re paying for.
